The cubes fell

As part of the «Weltformat» poster festival, the «Weltklasse» workshop organized by the graphic arts class is held each autumn. Designers from all over the world take part in this workshop and design their posters. The best posters will be judged in the following competition. My class organized the event this year and created the visual with moving typography. The best end product should be used as an advertising medium.

Together with my teammate, we created an illusion. When the installation is viewed normally, black cubes with white letters dangle upside down from the ceiling and are illuminated by different lamps. If you turn the picture upside down, you can read the title and the cubes look like little balloons. We tried different techniques when filming, such as wind, soap bubbles, light movement and shadow. At the end of the film, we cut the cords of the cubes to match the title «The cubes fell». Together with my teammate, we created an illusion.
